Welcome to the Hamilton Anime Club 🙂

We host monthly meetings at the CJCC,

Hosted by Lydia & Ken of Dorkalicious! Bring your favorite anime on USB, and majority rules on what we play. Feel free to dress in cosplay, bring snacks, and come chill. Raffles, prizes, and games! $5 suggested donation (all proceeds go to the cultural center)

What Happens There?

Every meeting is different but be prepared for

– Meeting New People
– Open discussions on anime topics, trends and whats new and upcoming
– Voting on which anime everyone would like to watch
– Snacks
– Watching Anime
– Prize Draw

Please keep an open mind as everyone has different tastes on what is the best anime at any given time

Often there is a discussion period before we get into watching anime, you are not required to participate but we encourage you to get to know everyone and share your interests

Snacks are generously brought in by fellow club members, you are not required to bring any but if you can thats great!

Prize draws usually come from a random assortment of anime memrobelia.

When?

Meetings are held on the last friday of each month

The meetings run 3 hours from 7pm to 10pm

Please check the Events Page for dates and times

Where?

Events are hosted at the Canadian Japanese Cultural Centre of Hamilton in the Lounge room

45 Hempstead Dr, Hamilton,
ON L8W 2Y6

You can use the #22 Upper Ottawa bus to reach the CJCC, the stop is Hempstead opposite Unsworth

Viewers Discretion is Advised

All ages (16+) are welcome!

People under the age of 16 must be escorted by a parent or guardian.

Due to cultural differences, Japanese anime may contain content that North Americans are uncomfortable with. It is REQUIRED to have a parent / guardian accompaniment to determine suitability on subject matter. parents will not be allowed to drop off their kids and leave.

Again there will also be discussion periods during the club so ages bellow 16 may find such things boring and uninteresting.

Whats the cost?

There is no cost but since the event is being hosted at the Canadian Japanese Cultural Centre there is a suggested donation of $5 per attendee. All donations go to the CJCC to help keep the building running.

Payment is not required but it helps keep the organization as a total afloat.
