What is a Game Swap?
It’s a multi-vendor indoor garage sale in which you can buy / sell / trade your games, consoles, memorabilia, etc. and have the ability to shop from MANY other sellers!
Retro, current, new & used games are all welcome.

How much is admission?
Admission to the sale is FREE!

When is the event?
This is a one-day event on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 11AM-3PM.

Where is it?
This year we are gonna be HUUUUUGE!
We have rented out the DOUBLE GYM at The Calvin Christian School
(547 West 5th Street, Hamilton, ON, L9C 3P7).
More space = More vendors! We are goin’ all out this year!
This venue is absolutely lovely, has a big parking lot, beautiful outdoor section, wheelchair accessible, nearby highway access, restaurants, banks, and is reachable via public transit.

How can I trade my items?
If you are wanting to trade your items without purchasing a table, you can display your items in a clear container (with a sign) and walk the floor of the swap to see if there is any interest. You can also trade directly with vendors as well (at their discretion). Please be respectful of people’s space, as well as those who have rented tables, as their financial contributions help pay for the all costs associated with this event.

On the day of the sale-
Buyers / Traders: No Buyers or Traders will be admitted before 11AM. You may form an orderly line, but no “early birds”. As this is a community event, we are asking everyone to be respectful. Anyone displaying rude and aggressive behavior will be escorted from the premises and will not be welcome at future events.

NOTE FOR BUYERS:
Caveat emptor (Latin term for “Buyer Beware”). Please inspect all your items before purchasing. If there are any issues, please speak to the seller directly at the swap. While we can try to put you in contact with the seller post-swap, it’s better if you can resolve any issues same-day. The main purpose of this event is to foster a positive gaming community in Hamilton.

Are there any restaurants nearby?
Yes – There are many restaurants on Upper James (parallel to West 5th), such as Charlie Chopsticks, Tim Hortons, Subway, Pizza Pizza, Wendy’s, A&W, Quiznos, Pizza Hut, and many more.

Is this a Cash Only sale?
Each vendor is responsible for handling transactions at their table. While they may have access to electronic payments, to err on the side of caution, please bring cash. If you need access to an ATM, there are many banks on Upper James (parallel to West 5th), such as TD, RBC, CIBC and Momentum Credit Union.

Is it accessible by bus?
Yes – Please use the #35 College Bus, as it stops right in front of the school.
Northbound: Stop#2928 – West 5th Opposite Marlowe Drive
Southbound: Stop #2904 – West 5th At Tyrone

Will there be free parking?
Yes – There is free parking onsite.

Is it wheelchair accessible?
Yes – This venue is all one level.
